Split island payouts without the spreadsheet argument.

Epic posts an estimate, then revises it about 30 days later. Isola keeps a payout record every collaborator can see — and nobody, including the owner, can quietly edit.

The problem

Epic pays one account. Your team is several people.

And the number moves after you’ve already told everyone what they’re getting.

The estimate isn’t final

Creator Portal shows a figure, then posts the real one roughly 30 days after the period closes. They don’t have to match.

Spreadsheets get edited

Someone fixes a formula by hand in November. In February nobody can reconstruct why September changed.

Then you’re the one chasing

You did the maths, you absorb the argument, and every January someone asks you for their earnings for tax.

How it works

Agree it once. The ledger does the rest.

Set the split per island

Collaborators differ on each island, so splits belong to an island rather than the team. Shares can start late or sunset.

Everyone signs off

A period only locks when every named contributor has approved. Nobody can set their own share.

Post Epic’s figures

Provisional first, then the final. The difference is carried into next month, never clawed back.

Everyone sees their own account

Running balance, what’s been paid, and a CSV their accountant can actually use.

Why not a spreadsheet

A locked period cannot quietly change.

That’s the whole product. The maths is the easy part.

Estimates are reversed, not edited

When the final arrives, the estimate is withdrawn on the record and the settled figure booked. You can always show what was believed and when it changed.

Nobody is asked to send money back

A downward revision becomes a negative adjustment on next month. Clawing back cash someone already spent is how these arrangements end.

Every split is versioned and signed

September reconciles against the split September locked with. Later changes create a new version and leave the old one intact.

Also in the box

The unglamorous parts, done properly.

Bank reconciliation

Import your statement and see what you recorded against what actually left the account. Ambiguous lines are left for you, not guessed.

Statements they can keep

Every contributor exports their own running record as CSV — opening balance, what was credited, what was paid, closing balance.

Discord

Balances and approvals where your team already is. /balance, /approve, and replies only you can see.

Expenses and advances

Art commissions come off the island before it’s split. Recoupable advances clear automatically and never push anyone negative.

Pricing

Priced on what you handle, not how many people you add.

Charging per collaborator would penalise you for adding the people whose visibility is the point.

Isola records. It never moves money.

Epic pays you, you pay your team through your own bank, and Isola keeps the record straight. Nothing passes through us — which is exactly why there’s nothing to go wrong with it.
